The development and recognition of soft skills is one of the priority of European Commission educational programmes, including Erasmus+, and youth work in Europe. It has valuable results. Nevertheless, youth work mostly concentrates on the development of soft skills at young people, while the development of the same skills at youth and youth NGOs workers stays aside. Though their needs in soft skills are not less (and even more) than at any other professionals.
Transformation of Soft Skills" aims to develop and improve certain soft skills at youth workers, youth trainers and youth leaders for their professional development and raising the quality of youth work. The project is built up in accordance with the objectives, priorities and important features of the Erasmus+ Programme in the youth field; improve the level of key competences and skills of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, as well as to promote participation in democratic life in Europe and the labour market, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, in particular through increased learning mobility opportunities for young people and enhance the international dimension of youth activities and enhance the capacity of youth workers and organisations in their support for young people.
